I'm glad I'm here early. I was born too late to be part of the early net, but this seems somewhat similar.
I was there for early net and this feels the same way.
Nice. I still miss Usenet, despite never having seen it in its heydey. From what I know, it must have been quite a place.
I was too young to really understand what I was looking at, but I was watching that.
I just remember the big mainframes with the tape and my dad running cables in the mud, to send "e-mail". Replacing Xerox memos and air-post.
Remember the vacuum tube post thingys? I used to have nightmares that I'd accidentally get sucked into the channels. 😂
