On Damus, navigate to the message in question. To the right, click the three dots > Copy note ID. Paste that in your message.

I will point out that I hav had trouble when trying to copy the note ID between different clients. For example if I send the note I’d to someone using Amethyst, they are not able to just copy and paste to find it.
