GE Nostr 👋

Anyone know what’s going on in Georgia? Today I asked in two more places that are listed in nostr:nprofile1qqsra2ey033mkdwl5w8q0jss9ak69zafh82xsuvhwsaauw3trkq2amgprpmhxue69uhkv6tvw3jhytnwdaehgu3wwa5kuef0qyghwumn8ghj7mn0wd68ytnhd9hx2tc7g996k as taking payment with Lightning and both of them said they don’t - Smart Market and Wissol Fuel station.

I’d understand an error here or there, but I’m currently 0-4 and it feels like maybe there’s been a shift?

I’m going to keep hunting, but in the meantime, anyone any insight?

(Yes, I updated the listings on BTC Map)

Wissol uses a payment provider called Keepz which has QR codes at the gas stations you can scan and pay for with bitcoin, but only onchain. Citipay also seems somewhat spread in Georgia.

See this video:

Here is a dummy keepz link to test it:

Also traveling in Georgia right now but haven't managed to pay either at a hotel or gas station with sats yet.

There seem to be two types of bitcoin atms, those with just a bitcoin logo don't seem to require kyc, and the ones with shitcoin logos on them need a passport number.
