Bitcoin is here to stay.
In fairness, I distinctly remember people saying this exact thing when I was first climbing down the rabbit hole on 2017.
It’s definitely already a household brand, but we need a fundamental societal shift of some sorts to get the average person online stacking sats.
Nostr could be that shift, but so could something less peaceful like a world war or global depression.

Exactly, they said the exact same thing back in 2017/2018.
And it is sadly not true.
Just like you say, to speed up adoption, it seems something really bad needs to happen.
But adoption is exponential even if they just keep printing fiat like they have done the last 20 years.
Slow and steady is how the most people will survive the change from the fiat system, to the Sound Money economy.
More indirect. If you are doing the right thing says will come. Do enough and you will have enough.
Those who work online tend to be better paid.
That is exactly why they sadly often cant see the need for bitcoin.
On the other hand, less well paid people will feel the brunt of inflation first and therefore will be forced to adopt bitcoin or lose everything.
