I developed an allergy to fresh pineapple as an adult. Completely unexpected. Mouth ulcers develop almost immediately now from even a single piece. Puffy lips too. I’m not sure if it’s a particular type of pineapple but the acidity is too much for me.

I can still eat pineapple on pizza so I’m guessing tinned pineapple that is baked is okay but I’m reluctant to try it uncooked.

It’s very annoying as I used to love fresh pineapple.

I don’t have any other food allergies.
