Why is it that when people conflate #Bitcoin with premine scams I get enraged?

Why does saying they have different purposes make me cringe?

“But look at all the applications being built on inferior blockchains!!”

Am I the only one who doesn’t think a scams ability to generate more scams is a valid legitimacy test?
