Ok fine, if you wanna do that, consider that the multiplication sign means that the THAT MANY COPIES of something are placed side by side. So 1 Penny x 5 = 5 Pennies (5 pennies placed side by side, then collected together equals 5 pennies). So 1 Penny x 1 = just 1 Penny. So, 1 x 5 is another way of saying 1+1+1+1+1=5, instead of using 4 extra "1s" we just write 1x5. I don't know if the rest of the video is going to be like this, but i'll watch anyway.
