scaling via custodians and permissioned consortium sidechains is the single biggest threat to decentralization. every coin that is deposited into this type of system is immediately no longer protected by the decentralization that the base layer is supposed to provide. going down this path and promoting custodial garbage is stupider and more dangerous than even gigablocks.
