Long answer, sorry. I made some new friends here so that’s great but I’m extroverted and went to meetups/conferences. I really like so many people here.

I miss being with my irl friends on twitter. I’m out of the loop now. I’m not hip to the jokes or really anything going on. It was particularly hard when I had a boyfriend that used twitter and not nostr. Nostr has created a bit of conflict for me because some of my friends/family believe in me and love me so sometimes they think that I’m potentially wasting my time here. I was pretty effective at using twitter to advocate for various freedoms/human rights so I understand their concerns.

I look at it differently. I said that I wanted something like nostr and I meant it. I don’t feel a need to fit in with what’s “normal” or popular because it’s clearly not working well for humanity. Using nostr is a quiet human rights advocacy because I see it as a tool to facilitate various freedoms globally long term. 💜 nostr:note10lx3hkw3s2n6lhtxmawusyrk7gr045wcvpsjqzzcvdt2hq0ltsfsulh94j

Btw all of my irl friends check out nostr and don’t want to see bitcoin content almost exclusively. They all have Bitcoin but they aren’t trying to see bitcoin content.

lol I feel this. bitcoiners are generally very interesting and well rounded people. but... we talk alot about Bitcoin.

Bitcoiners are at their greatest when they talk about their entire approach to life without having to mention bitcoin.

Food, health, family, love, peace, art, freedom and joy.

🔥

Can confirm.. Am bitcoiner.. I have enough other, less noisy ways to learn about what's going on. I'm here for cats and other stuff.
