My wife believes in equality of the sexes and would never suggest that a man should fill out her election ballot for her - but that is what just happened. When push comes to shove and critical thought, effort, or judgement needs to happen to reseach the items & people on the ballot, she askes me to give her a piece of paper that she can take into the voting booth.

There is no need for me to point out what is happening here. She does not want acknowledge it and there is nothing to gain by throwing reality in her face or turning it into a big discussion. I take burden off her plate. I free her mental space. (Worst case is I make a wrong choice on the ballot and years later she does not need to feel guilty about it because she was simply doing what I told her)
