I'm so serious when I say that Anduril is based on one of those errant moral quandaries where you could face the wars you start with your own body on the line and skin in the game or you can do video game warfare but in real life and claim that it's ending wars.

the old school lesson is that you shouldn't start fights unless you want to take the risk of paying the price; the new school lesson is that you can do drone strikes from the comfort of your home and nbd.

has anyone ever asked whether the robots are just meant to fight each other, or are they gonna fight us? I could see autonomous assassin drones as useful if robots turn on us, but then again, there's no stopping China from building their own robot armies.

we're in an escalatory war of attrition and we might as well have fun before Mutually Assured Destruction, amirite? thing is, prior to, there will be a lot of dissident "capitulations" and Palantir has already set the profiling parameters for "do they worship the Big Black Orb or do they not?"

honestly, I wish this was paranoid and schizo but these people literally do think like a cult and the programming is very fact-resistant.
