ai was clumsy, slow, and embarrassing right up ‘til the start of 2024. devs used it in secret and quietly, not wanting anyone to know. i even know some who stripped out ai generated comments so the code wouldn’t look machine made. but by early 2025 everything changed. now it’s embarrassing not to use it. that lost time once spent on boilerplate and repetition is now reclaimed for creativity, deep thinking, and real problem solving.

some companies like salesforce have already replaced over 30% of their devs with ai. that number will only grow. human devs are becoming debuggers until this job is also not needed and irrelevant. the code is no longer written, it’s generated.

the idea that we had to invent special languages just to talk to machines was always flawed and wrong anyway. that era is ending. english is becoming the most powerful and efficient programming language we’ve ever created.

get used to it. stop whining.
