I think it's more of an age group and/or technical knowledge. From doing firewalls for residential and commercial buildings I've noticed that the boomers care about privacy to a degree (price), while anyone born before ~1990 has a much deeper understanding about how valuable your data is and what someone is capable of doing with said data.

Gen Z doesn't care as long as it makes it easier for them. For example, they would rather use a third party's app to order food from a pizza joint down the street rather than calling them on the phone, even if the app has a built in fee, higher prices and tips that go to the driver but notbthr restaurant itself. (I've seen this 1st hand...) 🤷‍♂️
