Layer 2 is basically free on lightning. Save for the brave souls maybe loosing on their channels.
But layer2 solutions keep the burden off on chain keeping mempool fees low

Lightening doesn’t support the miners. Mempool fees low is bad when your transactions are low. The security budget is low. I agree with everything you said, but that leaves miners incredibly unprofitable. See me previous post.
Large Mining op's will enevitbaly be a thing of the past as home miners become economically suitable for everyday use.
The fate of the miners nigh and I have little remorse. Those that could pull it off I give kudos. But the decentralized nature of bitcoin will spread gthe hash amongst the people

You might be right, but lightening doesn’t fix the security budget issue. And the base layer is going to have to transact much more to pay for power even if large mining ops disappear.
