Apparently, their sync is in alpha...

https://blog.logseq.com/how-to-setup-and-use-logseq-sync/#how-to-enable-the-sync-feature

I roam between Android and two Windows maschines a lot, which is why I would love to have something I can selfhost and then share across all my devices. I even have my own VPN, so I don't even have to make it publicy available. But I do definitively need something I can drop on my server - in Docker - then leave running and take notes on my various ends. When i get the chance to use my PC or laptop, I want to be able to "make it nice" and such.

Logseq looks great, mind you. But if I can not host it on my server, or control how things are shared, it's a bit of a problem...

You can host it on your own server in multiple ways. And it's local first anyway. There is a great web front end, but without plugins right now.

Sync is alpha right now, yes

But if you are technical you can use syncthing, which I do. You could use sshfs too.

Logseq is the future, if you invest some time with plugins and stuff, you wont regret it. Get into the journal way of thinking, there's so much to it, even AI integration

I intend to make tools such as nostr integration, gamificaiton and some sync stuff

I also have obsidian and appflowy but dont use them.

Give logseq a try, by the time you're into it, they'll probably have a decent sync set up.

Other things are you can host whole knowledge bases all in a single page app e.g.

Oh, it plays nice with Syncthing? That might be helpful since I already use that to synchronize my emulator savefiles.

Nostr integration sounds neat, being able to embed a note could come in handy. ^^
