Welcome! nostr:npub1hgvtv4zn2l8l3ef34n87r4sf5s00xq3lhgr3mvwt7kn8gjxpjprqc89jnv and nostr:npub1luvpvkhauqy994y6fcf3djvpc7hszexpsyxqhs87g8fkrhtu5lcqylnmt5 are more Nostr sewists! I’m just learning πŸ˜…

I’m trying to remember all the birth workers and breastfeeding specialists here, but I can only remember nostr:npub1g86fqjp72d64392w476n9d5fh7hjjhutj4msppvlnh3ks3rn77lqkc8pyd right now.

What kind of engineering do you do?

More sewing content would be awesome! I'm at adventurous beginner level, lots of pj pants under my belt and a few quilted mug rugs.

Awesome! Adventurous beginner is a fun place to be. I sewed throughout my childhood and picked it up again in the early lockdown days when my best friend announced she was expecting. πŸ₯° The True Bias Ogden Cami is probably my favorite quick, easy, wearable pattern, and may be worth a shot if it's your style.

I'll check it out! Thanks for the suggestion. I wanted to learn quilt, then the kiddo started being mobile and I picked up a portable hobby πŸ˜‚. I hope we get more crafty people comimg in.

I've done quited makeup pouches and oven mitts, but I would also love to someday sew a full quilt! Yes, I hope we see more drafters, too! My hubby got me into into Bitcoin, Linux, firearms, etc. which I've come to appreciate... but I much prefer crafts, gardening, cooking, and girlier side of self-sovereignty. πŸ˜‚

Yes!

Thank you, Eryn, for the warm welcome and introductions! Sewing is fun, isn't it? At least when the seam ripper isn't involved. πŸ˜… I work in quality engineering. What kinds of things are you interested in? Oh, and by the way, your profile banner may be the greatest I've seen in my life!

It might be faster to list what I’m not interested in πŸ˜…

But top interests are Christianity, nature (as a very broad term incl. the sciences, foraging, cooking, herbal medicine, and permaculture), anthropology/folklore, fiction and writing (especially hard sci-fi), music and composition, art (I do pottery and crochet), and my family (husband nostr:npub1jrx2fk666k5nt8vgak9xwyxlgcwh8fl9rvpwvvcpdthuqkcnptrqdfhtaq and our baby, and stuff surrounding pregnancy/breastfeeding and homeschooling that supports future plans)

Haha as I type this I’m on the way to a meeting of a grassroots food freedom group, making me realize I didn’t even mention another big complex of interests, libertarianism/anarchy/building parallel systems
