My favorite oddity ought to be cc65; a C compiler for older, smaller things that technically uses a subset of C. Super cool stuff. ^^

Curiosity is great! I meant is there something that this lang is exceptionally good at? Something sufficiently compelling that it can survive in the long run, and not join the enormous graveyard of unused/abandoned langs
Oh iunno, just found it myself. x) Still kinda digging in, looking around... haven't installed the tool, let alone looked at their build system yet o.o
