Good morning everyone.

I started my Bitcoin journey in 2023, with the support of my wife. After a little over a year and a half in this space, I've came to the conclusion we needed to be all in. Today we officially began our journey of living on a Bitcoin standard thanks to nostr:nprofile1qqsvf646uxlreajhhsv9tms9u6w7nuzeedaqty38z69cpwyhv89ufcqpzamhxue69uhhyetvv9ujucm4wfex2mn59en8j6gpzemhxue69uhhyetvv9ujuurjd9kkzmpwdejhgqg5waehxw309aex2mrp0yhxgctdw4eju6t0t25cfd and Strike for replacing our checking/short term savings (with acceptable counter party risk). Also thanks to nostr:nprofile1qqsza56ed667de7q6mu6uxspetg7gzadqtkeug3plserzcj2nz6vc7qpz4mhxue69uhhyetvv9ujuerpd46hxtnfduhszv44jd for providing a long term savings solution by allowing us to have Sats sent directly to cold storage upon selling our fiat (without counterpart risk). Finally to Chase, that will continue to allow us to run negative Fiat and short the old system.

I was expecting a lot of anxiety about the financial change, but I am honestly so much more at peace with this. Fiat systems are evil time theft mechanisms, opt out. #Bitcoin

You think you could write a guide explaining? How did you short chase?

i would like to learn in flipping cash for sats then sats for more cash to buy more sats.

My fear is I won't be able to pay my bills & stack sats at the same time so I need a make money mentor.

Sure:

1. Receive paycheck and deposit it into a traditional checking account that will act as a clearing account. Sell your paycheck for Bitcoin using Strike. If you are paid via direct deposit from your employer, you can have them do that deposit directly to Strike.

2. Use credit cards (Chase in my case) for all living expenses possible. Groceries, gas, dining, etc.

3. Use Strike bill-pay to authorize one time payments to any lenders or utility companies that do not accept credit cards.

4. Pay off the entire credit card balance using Strike's bill pay service, so you aren't leveraged. This way you're shorting the US Dollar by running a negative balance in it every month, and reset the balance to $0.00 at the end of the month. Builds credit in their system, while providing cash back rewards that can be used to stack more Sats.

5. Once you've got enough Sats in Strike's custody that you're uncomfortable, either send some Sats to cold storage or start buying Bitcoin directly to cold storage using Bitcoin Well.

6. Rinse and repeat by month.

Adjust the above flow to meet your individual household needs. :)

January update:

Our household suffered this past month. We had reduced income (I took a pay-cut to start a new self-employment venture), and we had some unexpected expenses that pushed our costs above normal. In terms of Sats, we had to dip into our savings resulting in a net loss of 3.93%. In terms of fiat, the purchasing power of our remaining Sats (savings) still had a net increase of 4.70% when priced in USD (our local fiat).

Just tracking the fiat amount: we would be down -4.14% in savings

Granted, we would've had 100% less Sats (in savings) had we not converted all of our fiat to Sats going into this year.

#Strike Bill Pay worked as intended. There was a nerve-racking hiccup where the option disappeared on our account, but it was quickly resolved by their support team. We also had to provide a certificate of marriage so we could pay my Wife's credit card bill.

We weren't able to put any savings into long term cold-storage via nostr:nprofile1qqsza56ed667de7q6mu6uxspetg7gzadqtkeug3plserzcj2nz6vc7qppemhxue69uhkummn9ekx7mp08razs9 because we were at a net loss this month.

In short:

Sats were down (we dipped into savings) 3.93%

Fiat Value (of our savings) was up 4.70% (despite dipping into it)
