TIL, Japan had a satellite radio company called St.GIGA which would change genres gradually based on ocean tide tables. If Jazz was playing at high tide, it would gradually change to Rock, which would peak at low tide, and then the change would begin again. They had no commercials, no djs, no news prodcasts, and no talk. They existed for a decade, then went out of business.

Thats super neat.

Wonder if whoever was running it got tired of finding & sorting songs, didn't trust anyone else to get the mix quite right, and didn't want to keep doing repeats
