I think this is what the powers that be want or would like, however, without and exponential scaling of energy output such AI build out and ongoing operation will never be cost justified and will therefore must eventually (quiet soon I believe) collapse.

It not that I think AI is useless or a “nothing burger” but we simply cannot today deploy it sustainably at scale. And the radical collapse in the marginal cost of energy that is needed to underpin the AI panoticon will also bring the energy input cost of resistance and alternative socio-technological models down to near zero has well.

But yeah, I DO think we’re massively overbuilding for AI as it stand right now today and for the foreseeable future short of a free energy revolution…
