Its a reaction to the strong egos on here and a final GFY. I do think it looks silly, but I totally get why people do it.
My hypothesis is that they want people to tell them to stay. To feel appreciated. But wtf do I know? 😂

That makes sense. I'd advise giving them what they want, but I'm not really in the business if advising.
I don’t really feel like giving them what they want, most of the time. There are exceptions obviously
