this year i started waving and saying hello to people i see when i walk down the street, and the response i get is so heartwarming.
sometimes people just need a little bit of kindness to get through the day. it costs nothing.

I tried smiling and waving at people when I would catch them looking at me when I was living in Germany. People pretty much always looked at me like I was mentally deranged afterwards. Maybe I'm just ugly.
