Everyone overlooks very important things.

β€œIt doesn't matter that 70% of the network is knots, the spammer can go directly to the miner's meempol.”

Well, but if Knots reaches such a high share, who sets the consensus rules? Core or Knots? πŸ˜‚

And Ocean is also growing a lot... A whole new world of possibilities is opening up.

As far as I understand, consensus rules are 100% identical between the two.

FWIW, I run Knots, mainly because of the suspicious and shitty manner in which Core V30 was rammed through and justified.

Yet I'm sympathetic to points made by both sides of the complicated debate. I strongly dislike the contemptuous manner in which Core's most vocal proponents have made their case. Red flag.

But I also don't fully buy predictions of a CSAM apocalypse, a liklihood that feels not fully gamed out and therefore manipulative.

Perhaps a soft fork to patch the bugs in segwit and taproot?
