That “discovery” was 3 years ago. Still lacking any validation outside the wildly corrupt Ugandan Govt trying desperately to attract foreign investment.
If it had even a fractional chance of being accurate, gold price would have been DECIMATED over past 3 yrs. Instead, it has skyrocketed.
HOWEVER, your point about Bitcoin superiority is valid.
Long term (10-20 years), if Bitcoin stays decentralised and secure, it will demonetise EVERYTHING including gold.
They won’t be able to mine it though. Too much corruption and few infrastructure. In addition the highly skilled talents have better regional options than working in such a poor 3rd world country. Sadly but well. 🤷🏼‍♂️
