In the woods, food comes in layers for the sheep.

Been slowly turning this once closed canopy woods into silvopasture after having some logging done a few years ago.

Now there are tons of sapling trees in there so I break the tops about 3-4ft up so the sheep can eat the leaves.

Been using this technique with great success elsewhere around the homestead to get grass to grow deeper into the woods and thin out some unwanted trees.

Katahdin hair sheep picking at the scraps of this paddock for the next 12hrs.

The next paddock is looking good for another 4 days of grazing.

It's been close to 45 days since the sheep last grazed here. Everything looking good so far this season.
