how has it gotten that bad so fast? we used to look up to Germany as an example of a modern industry, great infrastructure & engineering, efficiency, work ethic... who tf ruined it? they should be in jail.

It was the Union. Specifically, Angela Merkel and her erratic, illogical, populistic politicking.

She's not in jail, tho. She's on a book tour. 😂
