I believe we save the key to keychain? Unless its broken.

How is this supposed to work? I’ve got some time today and am glad to test it out. I just need to be logged into iCloud?

Should have prompted to save when you created you account, otherwise it will look for the damus.io url key in your password manager.

Okay I will take a peek. So does that only go for keys created via Damus? And presumably since a certain version?
