I really love brave too it just such a smooth ux. I tried it right when it was first released and it was an immediate love affair. Could do without a lot of some of their built in bloatware, but at least it can all be disabled. Im a fan a FF too. I other than brave, not really a fan of chromium based so FF get a lot use too. I use different browers for different things on PC or phone. Speaking of, Brave mobile is also fantastic. That def my main use on mobile

Same, except I use Vanadium (a hardened version of Chromium) on GrapheneOS. Brave is great.

Im typing on a graphene phone actually. I tried using it at first since it made sense to use the one built to work with GOS, but i just couldnt. Just something about chromium in general I just dont like, whethers its de-blobbed or clean. One of those human peculiarities we all have😂

You might wanna check out Cromite...😏

I have. Ditto Bromite. Ditto Mulch. I dont like chromium browsers other than brave. They all are the same in the front end. That is what I dont like.

I hear you. But on Android chromium is more suited and secure. Firefox s engine struggles on Android...

That's where brave comes in. Thats my main use on mobile. And mull if I need to sync any bookmarks. Which works more than fine. Not sure what you mean by struggle exactly

I mean not snappy vs chromium based browsers, that's all. Will give brave a spin but I'm very much satisfied with Cromite re the data it leaks which is minimal even vs Vanadium.

Bromite was my goto on Android, then I switched to Cromite. Brave is the most advanced/polished UI, lots of privacy options but I dont like the BAT bloatware and crazy comunications with the mothership... Mull is excellent on Android coupled with Tor Browser, and add Libre Wolf for desktop. What I don't like about FF browsers on Android is the lack of backup for the bookmarks which Chromium based browsers do have.

I Sync Mull to FF on PC and save bookmarks there. As for bromite, no different then cromite IMO. Still chromium. I just really prefer mozilla based other than brave

I know about Mozilla sync workaround but the goal was not using external services for hosting personal information. Its ridiculous there is no simple export/import bookmarks in a modern browser

Well I dont consider a bookmark anything personal so not a concern of mine. And the sync is absolutely useful. Sure as hell better than saving on one device then transfering the file to another device then importing. Thats just silly.

I was just looking at Vanadium and I dont even see an option to export bookmarks. So Im not sure how this is just a mozilla thing.

Bromite, Cromite and Brave all have the possibility to export import boonmarks. Not sure why its different on Vanadium. It should be in the bookmark menu, submenu.

Perhaps I missed it but not a deal maker or breaker either way.

Could be cuz I never used any chromium until Brave too. Never liked Chrome even without the spying part. Thought it was just crappily written. Was always FF once I found out about that.
