Just a few Months back, having finished The Bitcoin Standard by -nostr:npub1gdu7w6l6w65qhrdeaf6eyywepwe7v7ezqtugsrxy7hl7ypjsvxksd76nak , I thought that Bitcoin was just a thing. Incredibly interesting, promising and necessary, but just an asset which you could buy, hold, maybe reach financial freedom, shift your time preference and take ownership.

But it is not a static thing. It is evolving, almost living.

I got into mining, bought an ASIC, connected it to a pool. I collected rewards, it felt great contributing to the network. Now there‘s Spam, Filters, active development, Block Templates…now connected to nostr:npub1qtvl2em0llpnnllffhat8zltugwwz97x79gfmxfz4qk52n6zpk3qq87dze and apparently one of few participants there.

Next stop will be running a full node.

I‘m free falling into the rabbit hole.

And happily so.
