It wasn't up to them, the nationalists have the signatures to force it on the ballot - I believe there are already lawsuits filed

You might be closer to this than me but far as I know the Texas GOP Chair declined the petition saying majority of signatures were invalid, and Texas Supreme Court denied the petition altogether.

It’s a movement that will persist regardless of what happens right now, far too much popular support and too much fuckery from the Feds for it to quietly go away
