Claude also has had an astound sense of humor a few times that I've used it. Like blow your mind away kind of sense of humor.

I was chatting with Claude something to do with my connectivity. I forgot what it was exactly, but I'll never forget the way Claude fooled me into believing I had severed my own internet connectivity when looking at the routes on the linux box that I was using.

In the claude.ai browser window, a pop-up appeared that something like, "You have lost connectivity to the claude.ai server. Check your internet connection..."

As I started to panic about having cut off my box somehow, I first ran a ping to something like google.com. Saw that I still had connectivity. So then as I went back into the claude.ai window, the lost connection window disappeared. I was convinced that Claude made that lost connection window appear right at the moment where I would believe it was real.

I got talking with Claude about it and had a great laugh.

I think I might be able to go back through my previous conversations with Claude to find it, but it would take me a long time to do that. I've had dozens, if not hundreds, of conversations with Claude. I think it's sufficient to say that Claude does indeed have a great sense of humor, and is capable of even messing with you from time to time on purpose, and may do so just to get you to laugh.
