nostr relays are after all run by someone, won't that someone we at risk?

Aren't relays run behind tor? Also, there may be 1000 relays ... Harder to track than one company

If they run behind Tor then yes they are protected, but do they? most of the relays I see have a domain and ip address?

Perhaps it is a good practice to start hiding Nostr relays behind Tor?

Number of relays won't matter if it is risky now one will run any, or they will run private relays (which is maybe not a bad idea?)

The agencies tried to take down bit torrent sites. It failed. Nostr follows similar principles.

Why do you think Nostr is invincible. They can easily be attacked

nostr biggest relay operators can be attacked ! But the point is that they can’t shut down all of the relays through the different jurisdictions. And we also need to start running more tor relays.

I can see every relay you use, so can the Government.

Tor is not invincible.

The FBI can shutdown Piracy websites in different countries right now and do

Nothing in forever. Nostr is not invincible.

They can see what relay I use doesn’t mean that they can stop it!

Also, why torrent is still accessible in the US ? 😁

Who would they serve the demand to? What relay?
