One thing that I think inherently differentiates #nostr from other social network experiences is that we’re not here to try to out-snark each other, or look for something in one another’s words to become angry at, whether consciously or subconsciously.

I’ve noticed this in the almost six months I’ve been here as it’s produced a change in my own interactions. I genuinely want to spend my time here uplifting others, and I see people doing the same for me on a daily basis.

In my first few weeks here, I hypothesized that a social interaction system driven by value-for-value rewards would overwhelmingly encourge users for spreading positive energy and sideline those who came here to do the opposite. I’ve seen exactly that happen.

We still have a long way to go before more of the world begins to understand this, and many who are simply too disillusioned or take pleasure in bringing others down will never find what they’re looking for here.

Nostr is for anyone, but it’s not for everyone, and that’s okay. Keep building, keep dreaming, and keep making things better in whatever way you know how.

We will all be rewarded for it.

Nostr seems to mimic real life interactions more closely than the legacy social platforms, at least so far. The V4V dynamics just might work 💜

Yeah V4V and the lack of algorithms are what make #nostr amazing and unique.

💯💜

I’d literally rather re-read the same post a hundred times than see ten bad takes pushed in my face.

Same here

It really resonates with me, what you just said. This is truly a magical place.
