You can just delete the app then re-install it, since cache deletion may not work well. (Make sure you have your nsec in the key-chain beforehand.)

apparently you can avoid the reinstalling, and just go to settings -> appearance -> clear cache 💜
I tried it but reduced like 500MB only... The same thing happened on my friends phone, too.
It was not too much work so it's OK anyway.
