I’m afraid that you’re quite wrong about this. Developers don’t grow on Merkle Trees and great ones are very rare.
I understand your perspective but I disagree. Nature hates vacuums, where a vacuum is created naturally it becomes filled. There’s a lot of people out there doing a lot of stuff… you never know where the next bitcoin core dev is gonna come out of the woodworks.
Maybe sometime zaps will get integrated into GitHub or something and there will
Be financial incentive to be a core dev (obviously speculating)
