You have to admit though, posting about “eCash” with a long ugly URL is a 🚩 for a lot of us. Hopefully this can be improved, because it looks like spam.

Chaumian mints have used the eCash terminology since the 80's. Those shitcoins can pound rocks. It's just what the technology is called.
The idea is great but it probably has no adoption path unless it can be rebranded. There are just too many soundalike shitcoins.
I take the stance that those shitcoins are irreverent and I don't care if they try to co-opt an existing term. We didn't rebrand Bitcoin because of BCH/BSV. We ignore and/or laugh at them
the name "eCash" predates bitcoin. It's a cryptographic scheme for private online transactions. Has been around since 1982. eCash can represent anything. In the case of Cashu, it represents bitcoin held by the custodian.

Yeah I feel you, hook up your eCash to your nostr npub and just send it that way and rather spam the invoice into yoru DMS
But i'm sure clients can create a mark up for it the way they've done with LN invoices
