I bought a handguard for my AK made sure before I bought it that it would fit my model, I got it today and it doesn't fit though it says it will, and while trying to make it fit (never a good idea I know) I broke the lower handguard lever so I can't put the gasblock back together so basically I broke my AK. Today has been trash all day and it just got worse. GN before something else goes wrong.

Well damn that’s suckssss sorry to hear this
Take a deep breath. It can be fixed with more effort. Anything is possible in gunsmithing. I know that frustrating feeling. You have a zastava right? What handguard?
Yes and this one
I'm sorry I'm not an AK guy but I have built several ARs from 80% so I'm competent in building. If you wanna hop on a vid call or something and show me the broken thing, I can give you my thoughts. Don't worry man, it's all a learning process. You will only become more competent yourself from messing this up. You will learn from the mistakes and be a better gunsmith in the end for it. Consider it a badge of honor. It will get fixed. Might take more time and money and I'll that sucks but it will get fixed.
Plus I would love learning more about AKs myself. I'm definitely going yugo when I get one too.
