I wish all clients had better list management, letting me categorize my follows. There are people I still want to follow, who I don't necessarily trust. Public and private options would be nice too

Then we could use the "followed" list instead as a "trusted npubs" list of people whom I know IRL, or have had extensive interactions with. That could actually mean something, and be useful for WoT.

I guess we can theoretically make custom feeds of non-followed accounts on some clients? But seems like a good bit of work. Agree the tooling is lacking.

All the pieces already exist. Nostrudel let's you make lists and assign users to them. Amethyst can view user lists, but has no management capabilities for adding users. Etc. The follow list would remain, but would instead be used as the trusted npubs list. It's all there already.

True. My biggest issue is always iOS- that’s a me being lazy problem at this point. K cool you’ve inspired me to accelerate my switch.

No reason iOS clients couldn't do this. There are nips outlining the functionality. It's part of Nostr, just underdeveloped. Influencer types would never push it through, they like big follower numbers, so it stays on the backburner.

I'd love some sort of secondary follow list where I can put all of the people who post good stuff but just too much per day.

Right now I have a single post from each of those people in my bookmarks that I'll check out every few days when time allows

When is it coming out?
