I've only been using with people I know closely. My context is that I find it to be the least-laggy way to have a video call from separate continents. Feels more like an in-person convo.

My understanding is that you make a direct connection with the person so it should have a lot less latency
Not quite, from what ive seen. Ran wireshark during a video call, and seemed to be routed through some generic google servers. The DHT should just be for connecting, so every single packet shouldnt have came from that IP from my understanding. Wasnt able to get a good answer from Maf about it
It opens you up to fails in their opsec in addition to intentional attacks by them. Easy to forget that part.
