To be entirely fair, I have a very strong willed, intelligent, and independently capable wife who rolled her eyes at me when I read her the contents of this thread. When appropriate, we follow each other’s leads. Labels and roles be damned. Communicate and be a team.

Yeah, hubby and I are good at compromising. We both know when a decision we disagree about will hurt the other more than ourselves and just give in.

I'm the intelligent independent (other people's assessment, not mine) type of wife too but I still like to hear this kind of thing. I might not just give in as much as Stella seems to, but that's just because I'm spoilt.
