We have already made some progress in this case. At the hearing to release his seized assets, while the judge declined to release the funds, he included in his opinion that mixing per se is LEGAL.

This is the first time (that we know of) that a federal judge has affirmatively stated that mixing is legal in a judicial order.

That is a significant development in Roman's case. It must be encouraging to know that Mixing itself has been explicitly acknowledged as legal through that judicial opinion.

This is a crucial development for all Bitcoin users who rely on the challenges of financial privacy afforded by cryptocurrency technology. Nevertheless, it's good news by any means prosecution would however thus probably not care and choose to select cases on whom they put pressure upon anytime something official wasn't fitting well towards their aims.
