Something I find really funny on here. If you take the middle road on the subject of Trump you end up pissing off both sides 😂

You people are the most capable of nuance on the Internet but this subject somehow gets under everyone's skin.

Hope we can still be friends!

Hope not, the ones who choose the middle road ONLY want to be friends- with everyone.

That’s the issue.

Your stance should come from what you truly believe, if you’re not living by that then you’re doing yourself a dishonor. Everyone deep down knows they have a stance.

You have to stand for something or you’re quite literally worth nothing.

I’d rather disagree with someone then have them agree with me just to get along

lol ok

Is it not true? People closet themselves because they’re afraid of being looked down at for having an opinion. Which they do have

I have opinions, many of them. that's not the point of the note.

here's one, both extremes have been wrong ...

the people that rushed to criticize him over Ross on day one, over his appointments, over auditing only left leaning agencies were wrong

the people that said he was a pure Bitcoiner were also proven wrong with the memecoin

the middle isn't a lack of opinion, it's just avoiding calling him the devil or God after two weeks in office

By the way I read your first post way out of context- my comments apply to someone who is just taking the middle road to get along with everyone.

Example) I have a friend who talks politics with the boys, aligned with us, but then around his girl gives into her political views and acts differently. He’s someone taking the middle to get along with everyone. That’s who I’m speaking of.

And yeah you’re pretty spot on, you should definitely stay skeptical of anyone in power. I look for action and when I see action, I either like it or hate it.

What I see is so far so good, I will not suppress that, and yes this can shift on an action to action basis. But I won’t remain neutral just to remain neutral in the eyes of others. That’s kind of what I was getting at, just to clarify

I figured we missed each other. I'm not shy about controversy 😂

No I just missed your initial point lmao I just read your post completely wrong.

But yeah you’re spot on, it’s good to recognize that not everything is black and white. Everything has nuance.

Pissing off both sides is good, it means you’re being true to yourself and your set of values, and are indeed taking a stance

Cuban aka Sazed the terrisman. 💙

lol that's a stretch friend! I just have high expectations of the smart people of nostr.

Kelsie was bad ass, so was sazed and so was vin

I’m just saying the argument seemed very sazed I think, perhaps.

It’s absolutely crazy 🤣

just thought I'd throw a little grenade out there on a friday

🤣🤣

I’ve experienced this grenade effect last weekend. Not fun

If I was here for followers I wouldn't but I prefer truth 😁

Same

100%, I will criticize both Trump and Biden openly. On a macro level, both U.S. parties are well deserving of criticism. This year I have mostly just stopped, people are like infants regarding this and they rather burn bridges.

When Biden was in "charge," any valid criticism was often seen as support for Trump. Now, with Trump running the show, any critique of his obvious lies or power moves brings out an army of Christians defending him as if it were a cult following.

Leaders are not saviors, and people who think they are immune to criticism have some serious thinking to do.
