Nope, you can deduct the gender from name or the from context. That is why we sometimes mess up with he/she when talking in english also :)

A bit more precisely put, we have pronouns, but they are gender neutral, for example he/she = hän

That ofc doesn't prevent the same pronoun nonsense happening here also, because collectivists copy everything XD
