Looking at the recommendations for encrypted cloud sharing, I was taking a look at Filen from Germany and Intenxt from Spain, both of which are in the EU.
For encrypted email, I use Proton (because it's Swiss), and not Tuta due to it being German (not to mention, they actually censor conservatives, or right-leaning centrists). There's an article that essentially calls out conservatives for "misinformation", when in reality, Tuta's out of line for being political when they don't need to be.
Some people recommend not using more than 1 Proton service due to Proton being shady (According to nostr:nprofile1q9zhwumn8ghj7vn2wdhxc6rxdejkc6t8x4skxufkd9skx7tyd4axgcnyd4nnw7rhw4hx6drcdsm8zamzweaxzcmhx3k8wun2d4k8jepwdahxjmmw9uq52amnwvaz7tmzd96xxmmfdeerver9x4kxkancx368qamyd4a8yerxv3cxccf4wdukzvnpvemhqcmpvf482upj0pcxjdtyw4kxycty9ehku6t0dchsqg9v8a40u96e8asczpgnmty6re2yapaee6gmylfhhz8vtra64yq54g6k8gde and Privacy X). While I could see some issues, I don't think it's enough to warrant blackmail material if you control the encryption keys. to any of their services. The BTC wallet, though, I wouldn't touch with a 10 foot pole, as that's disgusting.
For backups I use a backup HDD and a local server. For a 4th off-site backup I will use proton drive or even Google drive but I always encrypt before uploading. One of the reasons I like picocrypt so much. So tiny it's easy to store a spare copy with your files to decrypt later.
File sharing is usually through wormhole or onionshare. If this is a team member where it's going to be often then we'll share a nextcloud instance.
