Today I got frustrated after trying to orange pill someone close. Been doing this since 2017 but some just don’t see it.

That’s only natural. I have gone through a learning curve in that area myself. Got a few tricks on my sleeve now

Well, when it‘s someone close it is not about the last laugh… and with some people it‘s also not about the tricks and routine. They don‘t see the need and lack imagination
Is often easier to reach someone who only casually knows you than the people closest to you.
The people closest to you know your flaws and know your mistakes. They choose to associate with you anyway, and that's incredibly important on a human level. But, it makes it easier for them to dismiss your ideas, whether they mean to or not.
Sometimes all you can do is plant the seed and wait for someone or something else to water it.
