The world of hobbyist microcontrollers has a sad feeling. It's obvious that people buy these things as toys, no one is making anything all that interesting or original. At best you're building a weather station, but unless you're a farmer who cares. It's all the same "how to make an LED blink" tutorial over and over. Any legitimate use-case has already been productized, and sold for cheaper than components.

Makerâ„¢ is a lifestyle brand to get you buy shit you don't need or even really want. Trying to contrive project ideas around them. It feels dead inside.

Anyways so I bought an ESP32 S3 as a toy.

I was filled with wonder and excitement when I finished my very first print on someone's 3D printer I was using.

That wonder and excitement wore off about 5 seconds later when I realized that I don't actually have anything else that I need 3D printed.
