There is no new (left) government in France yet, sir.
If you make that much money I'm sure you can afford to employ accountants that make sure your income is offset by interest payments on debt, debt used to finance assets that appreciate faster than debt/inflation. So the plebs cheer and the rich continue to pay no tax. So it's just a ruse to placate the masses.
