Oof. Started the SIX MONTH application process for US Global Entry. Way too late for #[0] but hopefully will be complete before heading back to El Salvador for Adopting Bitcoin.

It doesn’t always take that long. The hardest part is finding an interview location. You may need to drive a bit away to get one on shorter notice.

The interview process is entertaining (aka pointless)

Scary how fast those machines scan your face. Convenient though

This is the shortcut: https://www.cbp.gov/travel/trusted-traveler-programs/global-entry/enrollment-arrival

Look into Enrollment Upon Arrival if it’s not approved beforehand.

Damn, Nostrica flight gets back after their office hours close at O'Hare. And departs before they're open!

Ah, man. Tough break. As others said, it rarely takes six months for an appointment regardless. Hopefully you get lucky!

The advantages are less and less these days now that it tends to be fast even for non global entry.

Global Entry interview reservation set for earliest available time slot: mid-May. So "only" ~3mo to get approved. Assuming the process is quick after that.

I don't hate on government services as much as most Bitcoin maxis, but yeah, that's still not fast.

All for a 30 second interview and someone checking to make sure you’ve paid.

Get the global interview app for iOS. You will thank me later and make it to @nostrica.

If I could figure out how to post a pic I would. Lol!
