I remember living in Las Vegas in the 1990s. We would have a few days over 110°F, and we would take solace knowing Phoenix was up over 120°F, usually 121 or 122. It would make our 115 more bearable somehow.
This was in the height of the "hole in the o-zone layer because aerosols and CFCs" scare.
So, is Phoenix now up over 125? 130? Nope, isn't even cracking 115. Fake news.
