China hits back at US tariffs with vow to take case to the WTO
I was actually among the people that thought Trump was going to use the "threat" of tariffs as a bargaining chip to open favorable negotiations. This may still be the case but it is escalating quickly.
No doubt, all prices in the USA will see crazy volatility in the coming months.
If it forces manufacturing to return to the USA that will help local markets but this can also serve as the beginnings of global geoploiltical tensions that should be carefully navigated lest we tempt a global conflict...
